Primary tabs
ReadySplits a screen into its main views, one at a time.
When to use
- A screen has two to five views of the same thing that people switch between often.
- Count: each view is a status bucket and the number matters (waiting, approved, rejected).
- Underline: the views are different kinds of content (overview, list, people).
When not to use
| If people need to | Use |
|---|---|
| Switch between two ways of looking at one list | Secondary tab |
| Narrow a list by a quick filter | Chips |
| Move between parts of a module | Bottom navigation |

Accessibility
- The tab row is announced as tabs, with the selected one marked and its count read out.
- Count tabs are about 52 tall and underline tabs 48, above the 44 minimum.
- Antz green on white scores 2.4, so the active tab is also shown by the bar, not colour alone.
