Number with a pad
A big value with its unit and an on-screen pad, for weights, doses and counts.
How it works
Animal IDCommon nameScientific nameEnclosure

The value is large; the unit sits beside it; the last value is one tap away.
Rules
- One value per screen; the animal it belongs to sits above it.
- The unit switch is a segmented control; switching converts the value.
- "Last" shows the previous value and date; tapping it fills it in.
- Six digits and one decimal point at most; an empty Add shows the error under the value.
- Use the pad when the screen is for one value entered again and again (weighing animal after animal). Inside a longer form, use the Text field with a unit instead.
Motion and haptics
| Moment | Motion | Haptic |
|---|---|---|
| Key pressed | Key darkens 100 ms | Light tick |
| Saved | Screen closes; new value glows | Success pulse |
